'Floragraphs' to honor 3 late N.J. residents at Rose Parade
Dec 30, 2018New Jersey – living donor Donna Albanese, of Scotch Plains, who donated her kidney to her mother and Mark Meade, a heart donation recipient from Princeton Junction – will take part in the parade, as well. The floragraphs will be accompanied by 24 organ recipients and 12 living donors.
The process, recipients said, is a good way to thank the families of the people who saved their lives.
"I wanted them to know how grateful I am for the kidney and how it has changed my life," Samuels said in a release.
"They have given me new life."
The Rose Parade kicks off at 8 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Princeton florist plans to 'Petal It Forward' on Oct. 7
Nov 27, 2018Monday Morning Flowers and Balloon Co. Will be hitting the streets of downtown Princeton on Wednesday, Oct. 7, handing out hundreds of bouquets to residents to help brighten their week, as part of the 'Petal It Forward' program, in partnership with the Society of American Florists (SAF). 'Petal It Forward' is in response to the release of new data by SAF showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers.
University research shows that flowers have an immediate impact on happiness and a long-term positive effect on moods. Now, a new survey has found that when it comes to flowers it's just as good to give as it is to receive. With this data in mind the Monday Morning Flowers Petal It Forward team is not only spreading happiness to lucky Princeton residents who receive the flowers, but arming these residents with an extra floral bouquet to share with a loved, co-worker, or stranger and "Petal It Forward."
In March 2015, SAF conducted a study of 2,500 people throughout the U.S. to uncover the impact of flowers on Americans. Emanuele Fontanini of The House of Fontanini to appear at Flowers by Julia
Nov 24, 2018PRINCETON — Roman Inc., a national giftware company of Bloomindale, has selected Flowers by Julia to host a personal appearance tour with Emanuele Fontanini, one of the fourth generation family members now leading the celebrated House of Fontanini in Bagni di Lucca, Italy.
Flowers by Julia is honored to be one of only 20 retailers nationwide where members of the Fontanini family will appear in 2016. Flowers by Julia located at 811 E. Peru St. in Princeton welcomes Emanuele Fontanini on Dec. 2 from 3 to 5 p.m.
During the event, collectors will meet one of the talented individuals responsible for their favorite Nativity figures. Figures purchased on the event day, along with two others from their personal collection, can be adorned with Fontanini’s sought-after signature. As part of the event, Flowers by Julia will offer the 2016 limited edition figure Antonia from the Fontaninil Heirloom Nativity, exclusively by Roman Inc.
