Football Bowl Subdivision records for most touchdown passes over two seasons (97). ... USF opens next season against Towson on Sept. 3, 2016. There’s a home game against Northern Illinois on Sept. 10, a trip to Syracuse on Sept. 17 and a home game against Florida State on Sept. 24.
UMES has presented options for impacted students, including a plan that would settle them in programs at "sister institutions." Towson and the University of Maryland at Baltimore on the western shore are the only two other universities in the University System of Maryland with PA studies.
Members in the Class of 2016 say students are uncertain they can afford steeper tuition and fees or cost of living on the western shore that far exceeds those on the rural Eastern Shore. They submitted requests for financial help to UMES and departmental leadership, along with Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh and James Shea, chairman of the USM's Board of Regents.
"A bigger problem will be met in insuring we do not in the future incur any expenses as a result of the program's loss of accreditation," Flowers said. In a Nov. 19, 2015, letter, he told UMES and state leaders that "… the loss of income for which we must be compensated is substantial, and, although we assume you intend to take care of this, we would very much appreciate your personal assurance on this point."

In a Dec. 15 letter to impacted students, UMES President Juliette Bell said the USM and other stakeholders were also involved in working to resolve concerns. "It is our hope and expectation that this matter be resolved before the end of the calendar year, and we will be certain to maintain active communication with you," she said.
UMES would not comment on students' claim that Towson has offered to accommodate 11 students and UMB, 24 students, saying that "a plan has been submitted and must be approved by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc., first before the university can share details."
