Question: My lawn is infested with dollarweed and clover. Is it worth doing weed control now? --Jeff Marcon
Answer: Weed control is not seasonal. It's done when a problem with weeds is bad enough to warrant control efforts.
If you have a minor problem with dollarweed and clover, you do not need to apply a herbicide now.
If, on the other hand, you have enough weeds to warrant treatment, there is no use waiting, which only will allow the weeds to continue to grow, spread and damage your lawn. In that case, treatment now is recommended.

Atrazine is the best herbicide for dollarweed and clovers, and can be used on St. Augustine and centipede when temperatures are above 60 degrees.
